Hot Patchouli Soap

Description

• We call this soap Hot Patchouli because unlike our other soaps that are cold processed, this soap is hot processed. Hot processed means that the soaps is heated for a longer time, at a low temperature, and becomes soap before you pour it. The soap is ready to use in a day, but we let it cure for a few weeks to create a long lasting harder bar. This process tends to create more of a rustic looking soap bar.
• Hot processing is a more difficult process, because it’s more challenging to manipulate the soap, but it’s worth the trouble. This bar is very creamy and very moisturizing. Hot processed soap is extra moisturizing, due to the fact that some of the oils don’t soponify like cold processed. Since the essential oils are added at the end, when the soap is already hardened, the essential oil aroma and moisturizing properties tend to be stronger as well.

This soaps gets its aromatic, refreshing, and invigorating aroma of Patchouli and Peppermint from the essential oils we add.
